Hamid has more than 10 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering practice. His academic and professional background has mainly focused on numerical simulation, geotechnical earthquake engineering and design, and offshore and marine geotechnics. Hamid has been heavily involved in the seismic geotechnical analysis and design of transportation infrastructure projects in the Seattle area, as well as waterfront structures for transportation and the oil and gas industry, tailing facilities, pipelines, and land development projects. His professional experience also includes analysis and design of drilled and driven deep foundations, ground improvement to mitigate effects of liquefaction and lateral spreading, soil-structure interaction evaluation, and site-specific seismic hazard analyses. Hamid has authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications.
