Kristen joined Shannon & Wilson’s Fairbanks office in 2007 during her graduate school studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is one of the environmental managers in our Fairbanks office where she is responsible for supervising a group of qualified environmental professionals. With a background in chemistry, she is experienced in scientific reporting, analytical instrumentation, and laboratory data review for quality assurance/quality control.
Kristen serves as project manager for several large, high profile, public-relations based environmental projects where private drinking-water wells have been impacted, including PFAS contamination found at and near airports in Alaska. She has extensive experience in managing and coordinating Phase I and II site assessments, regulatory compliance, and site characterization and remediation. She has led and participated in several projects that required community outreach activities, which have included arranging public meetings and teleconferences as well as interviewing local community stakeholders to gain their input.
