In her 33 years at Shannon & Wilson, Monique has played key roles in many geotechnical projects involving bridges, embankments, buildings, piers, retaining walls, landslides, dams, roadways, shoring systems, and excavations for a variety of clients.  For over half of her career, Monique has led Shannon & Wilson’s services for WSDOT, serving in the roles of geotechnical engineer and geotechnical project manager. She has supported WSDOT for design-build and design-bid-build delivery of over 100 transportation projects ranging from small intersection improvements, to fish barrier replacements, to complex transportation systems such as the SR 99 Bored Tunnel, SR 520 Floating Bridge, and new SR 167 highway.

Monique specializes in shallow and deep foundation design, slope and embankment stability and settlement studies, liquefaction evaluations, and retaining wall and shoring design.  She enjoys working on unique and challenging projects in varied locations. From urban to remote jobsites, she excels at adapting to the different situations and working with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies.
