Leah joined the Shannon & Wilson Madison office as an Environmental Geologist in March 2024. Since Leah has been with Shannon & Wilson, she has been contributing to a diverse set of projects in addition to serving as the QA/QC Office Manager. Project work includes brownfield redevelopment funding mechanisms, feasibility studies, environmental management systems, discrete soil sampling, groundwater and surface water sampling, and environmental risk assessments.
Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson, Leah was a physical science intern with the National Park Service (NPS) across the Southeastern Arizona Park Group. At NPS, Leah contributed to resource management projects: well and spring monitoring, air quality sampling and monitoring, agave phenology studies, cave and mine exploration, LiDAR mapping, slope stability measurements, repeat photography for mass wasting events, bat surveys, and biological acoustic monitoring. Beforehand, Leah received her MS in Geosciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee after completing a BS in Environmental Geosciences with a Sustainability minor at Winona State University.
