Xenia joined the Shannon & Wilson Portland team in June 2024 as part of our geotechnical engineering staff. She completed her BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering at Georgia Tech. She then worked for five years as an assistant professor at CSU Fullerton before coming to Shannon and Wilson. Her graduate research focused on the beneficial use of coal and biomass combustion residuals, and her research interests in southern California focused on the fundamental soil behaviors of wildfire-exposed slopes.
