Andrew Gregovich

Geotechnical Staff

Andrew is a field-inclined geologist and geotechnical engineer with broad work experience. Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson he spent five years working in the mining industry, primarily as an exploration geologist, where he performed core logging, mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, and GIS. Andrew’s construction observation experience includes installation of tiebacks, soldier piles, augercast piles, open-ended steel piles, and dam foundation grouting.

Andrew enjoys integrating diverse datasets in subsurface investigations. He is motivated to utilize geophysics and UAVs more frequently in geotechnical workflows. In addition, he is deeply engaged in the  major changes taking place in the energy sector. After finishing graduate school and before joining Shannon & Wilson, he spent six months incubating a geoscience-centric business. During that time, Andrew evaluated technologies related to hydrogen, carbon management, geothermal energy, and critical minerals. While he did not find a sustainable business model, he seeded many new relationships and gained deep insight into the energy system transformation that is just getting started.
