Mia is a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her master’s degree in geotechnical engineering. Prior to that, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in civil and environmental engineering and was heavily involved in student organizations like ASCE, CalGeo, and ITE. Mia is eager to apply the knowledge and skills she gained in school and is quick to learn and adapt to new situations. In the short time she has been with Shannon and Wilson, she has already applied her knowledge in areas such as deep foundation and seismic hazard analyses and has also used programs like Settle3 and SLOPE/W to characterize loading effects for various project circumstances.
