Samantha joined Shannon & Wilson in 2022 after serving as a graduate researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied mechanical and poroelastic properties of lithologic units within the Navada's San Emidio Geothermal System. Her lab experience includes preparing and testing a diverse suite of rock samples using a triaxial testing apparatus. Samantha has performed geological mapping, including creating cross sections, interpreting geologic history, and drafting maps using geographic information system applications such as ArcMap and QGIS. During her time as an intern and Contract Geologist in the mining industry, Samantha became familiar with geotechnical and geological rock core logging as well as the Leapfrog Geo software.
