Pete has more than thirty years of progressive, responsible geotechnical engineering experience in highway transportation in Oregon, specializing in resolving challenging construction and operational issues relative to landslide and rockfall hazards, as well as roadway and foundation scour. His expert level experience has played a key role in the design and review of over 500 bridge foundation designs and over 200 landslides and rockfall events in Oregon’s most complex geologic provinces, the Coast Range and Klamath Mountains.
Pete is known for his leadership, and consistently applying complex principles to real world problems in a practical, economical and timely manner. He is also a certified Structures Specialist by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for Urban Search and Rescue efforts with additional training in seismic damage evaluation and assessment for bridges and buildings (ATC-20).
