Senior Engineer
Ben is a geotechnical engineer with field experience including coordinating and conducting subsurface explorations, drilling and logging geotechnical borings/coring, excavation and logging of test pits, classification of existing pavement conditions, performing double ring infiltration tests, performing plate load tests, coring structural concrete, and performing construction observations and material testing. He has overseen and logged geotechnical borings drilled with solid and hollow stem auger, mud and air rotary, NQ and HQ rock core, and sonic drilling methods. His geotechnical engineering design experience includes site characterization, seepage and slope stability analysis, consolidation and settlement analysis, deep and shallow foundation design, 1993 AASHTO and ME pavement design analysis, and preparing geotechnical reports and recommendations.
