Alec Rizzo
Geoscientist
Alec joined Shannon & Wilson in 2020. He is experienced in reading gamma ray logs, producing isopach maps, and utilizing 3D modeling software to interpret data. He is proficient in surface/subsurface soil, sediment, and water and groundwater sampling, installing/sampling groundwater wells, and ArcGIS base mapping and spatial analysis. Since joining Shannon & Wilson, Alec has worked on numerous environmental projects throughout Alaska, including the Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services Term Contract.
Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson, Alec had nine years of field experience in logging soil borings and hard rock cores for environmental remediation and investigation projects, working for several Alaskan mining, petroleum, and environmental companies as a core logger and geologist, including three years at Weston Solutions, Inc.
