As a geotechnical engineering consultant who has worked in Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, Kyle has experience covering various types of engineering design projects, including foundation design and construction for roadways and bridges, levees and embankments, landslides, water conveyance, storage, treatment plant facilities, and commercial development projects. He has onsite project experience relating to observation and documentation of subsurface explorations, deep foundations, various types of retaining walls, instrumentation, and HMA pavement.
Kyle provides specialized expertise in the areas of geotechnical earthquake engineering and soil dynamics that stems from work as a Graduate Research Assistant developing finite element models to evaluate the short- and long-duration seismic loading effects on soil-bridge-foundation systems.
