Jessa joined Shannon & Wilson in 2011 as an Environmental Scientist. Her project work has included project management, assisting in and leading field activities, data management and evaluation using Excel and Geographic Information System (GIS), database research, technical writing, and final preparation of reports for a variety of environmental projects in Alaska. She is also experienced in preparing reports, proposals, work plans, and data review.
Jessa’s experience includes field work involving preliminary visual site investigations, database research (municipal, state, and federal), interviews, soil field screening, groundwater/soil sampling by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) Field Sampling Guidance, determination of groundwater gradient and isopleths, product recovery testing, and monitoring well development and decommissioning by the ADEC Monitoring Well Guidance.She provides services associated with Phase I ESAs on residential and industrial parcels at various Alaskan locations in Anchorage, Wasilla, Eagle River, Palmer, Kodiak, Valdez, and Unalaska.
