Gerard was manager of our Boston project office between 1990 and 1998. During this time, he managed and performed detailed geotechnical engineering studies for Shannon & Wilson's complex Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel projects. He was awarded the Outstanding Local Civil Engineering Project Award for 1984 by the Seattle Section of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for a unique and cost effective roadway slide stabilization project along Perkins Lane in Seattle, Washington.
For the last 20 years, he has focused on alternative delivery of projects including Design-Build and Public-Private-Partnerships. He has successfully accomplished the geotechnical studies for several major bridge and rapid transit projects with a total construction value of over $7 billion.
