Ecologist / Permitting Specialist


Elyse Denkers is an ecologist and permitting specialist with more than 12 years of experience in the natural resources field and over eight years of experience as a consultant completing wetland, stream, and habitat assessments; mitigation plans; and environmental permitting documentation.  Elyse is well-versed in routine federal and state wetland and ordinary high water mark (OHWM) delineation and rating methodologies.  Her experience in mitigation planning and design includes wetland creation, restoration, and enhancement; buffer restoration and enhancement; stream restoration and daylighting; and mitigation bank and in-lieu fee use plans.  

Elyse successfully provides permit compliance at the local, state, and federal levels, including permitting documentation for local critical area ordinances, shoreline master programs, State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), State Hydraulic Code, Clean Water Act (CWA) Sections 401 and 404, and Environmental Species Act (ESA).
